One of the best parts about trade shows like IAAPA is seeing so many old friends. Over the last 20 years, we’ve worked with some of the most amazing clients, partners, and industry experts from around the world. Every year, they all come together at this trade show, and we find ourselves seeing familiar faces every time we turn around. With thousands of people coming through our booth, we also had the pleasure to meet hundreds of new people.
IAAPA 2017 was an amazing success for our company. Hologate virtual reality received an overwhelming response, the new Mayday theme for Infinite Escapes was a huge hit, and our community mural helped us raise more than $10,000 for Make-A-Wish!
“To deliver the WOW Effect, one client at a time…” This has been our mission from the very beginning. Each year at IAAPA, we do whatever it takes to deliver that WOW effect to those that visit our booth. Thanks to Hologate, a new immersive virtual reality attraction, we accomplished this goal.
If you visited our booth, chances are you found yourself in the queue that was constantly wrapped around our new 4-players VR attraction. With stunning visuals, intuitive controls and lossless motion response, Hologate quickly became one of the must-see/must-experience attractions of the show.
Earlier this year we became the exclusive North American distributor of the popular VR attraction, meaning that this truly was a “one of a kind” experience at IAAPA. If you missed out on your chance to experience Hologate at the show, click here to learn more about this attraction.
Mayday Escape Room
While Hologate was insanely popular, it wasn’t the only attraction that was making waves (literally). In addition to debuting VR to our attraction lineup, attendees were also treated to a firsthand look at our newest escape room theme, Mayday.
Guests were taken on an underwater submarine adventure in this new escape room experience. In the Mayday theme, things quickly go south when the hull begins to leak. Players have to solve puzzles to seal the leaks before becoming a part of the vessel’s “skeleton crew” (get it?). The condensed, 30-minute experience was exclusive to those who arrived early enough to schedule a time slot each day of the show.
Mayday is the third themed experience in the Infinite Escapes catalog, joining Inventor’s Workshop and Pharaoh’s Revenge. If you missed out on the experience, more information is available here.
Since the beginning of November, we have raised over $10,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The Make-A-Wish campaign titled “Creative Works Memory Makers” raised funds to help deliver a memorable experience to a child facing a critical illness.
In addition to collecting donations, attendees that donated at our IAAPA booth had the opportunity to color in a portion of a community mural dedicated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The once blank mural represented the dreams of children, and by donating, our “Memory Makers” got to fill in a portion of a child’s dream. In addition to the funds raised, the finished mural will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Thanks to all of our wonderful donors, the campaign has become a resounding success. At the time of writing this article, our total amount raised sits at $10,704.57. With your help, we hope to reach our stretch goal of $15,000 by the end of 2017. Click the link below to donate today!
Let’s remember what November is really about – THANKSGIVING. We want to take a moment to say how much we truly appreciate everyone that has worked with us and allowed us to be part of their project. We’re so thankful for our incredibly talented team, our dedicated partners, and our wonderful clients. As we’ve grown over the past 20 years, we couldn’t have done it without your support.
