January 9, 2018 – Mooresville, IN – Washington, Indiana based family entertainment center Jump-N-Jax collaborated with us to install an immersive laser tag experience. According to our vice president of sales Russ Van Natta, the decision to add laser tag made to preserve the longevity of the customer base.
“Scott Dyer’s business was originally a bounce facility,” stated Van Natta. “It was centered around very young kids between that 4-6-year-old range. The area that he’s in has a large population of kids in that 4-6-year old range, but he also saw that after a certain point that there wouldn’t be much for the kids ages six and up. He wanted to keep the customer base he has been cultivating for a number of years and bring that up.”
The single-level, 2,350-square-foot arena places players at the mercy of the environment of a strange planet in a distant galaxy. The new laser tag arena in the expansion features several twists and turns around stone and alien ship wall panels. Additionally, multicolored foliage and log props scatter the tops of the wall panels to add to the arena’s jungle theme. For extra flair, players are surrounded by large, hand-painted murals of nearby planets and forestry lining the arena walls. Lastly, a large ‘Avatar’ inspired stone face statue peers over the arena with glowing LED eyes.
After opening his new laser tag arena a little over a month ago, Dyer has already begun to find success among new and returning customers.
“The arena looks great and our guests love it,” exclaimed Dyer. “I was greatly impressed with the Creative Works team and I am tremendously happy with the work they accomplished.”
Dyer sent his project’s general contractor to LaserTAG360 prior to our collaboration. LaserTAG360 is a two day educational conference in Indianapolis hosted by us. Attendees have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of FEC and laser tag operations from industry professionals, with topics ranging from site selection and financing to operational fundamentals and hiring.
“He came to our LaserTAG360 event and spent a couple of days walking through, looking at how we approached things,” said Van Natta. “He also runs a very successful general contracting business. With all his years of construction experience, he felt confident in our abilities and it says a lot about our team and what we put together for him. We were very flattered.”
