Position Open:We are seeking a Product Engineer with experience in Furniture and/or Cabinet Design that has an ability to work organically as part of our Design Department. We are looking for a creative individual that can think outside the box, visualize things well, and can use their computer talents to create concepts and renderings for our clients in various forms as they design custom props for laser tag arenas, golf courses, and escape rooms. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use Sketch-UP and Auto CAD to create 2D renderings of spaces, elevations and props
  • Create “build sheets” for individual props and pieces we create to help production team fabricate from drawings
  • Prepare product detail packets of information and drawings for our internal production team
  • Assist Design Department in overall creative scope of projects
  • Create vector files and CNC cut files of the designed props
  • Occasionally, work with client architects, building inspectors, fire marshals, clients and more to review designs, make adjustments, and ensure the overall plans meet the needs of all parties

Additional considerations and software knowledge desired for this position:

  • Sketch-up – advanced knowledge to build and output 3D design files
  • Solidworks knowledge a plus
  • Adobe Illustrator or vector based drafting
  • Artcam, Carvec, VCarve and/or Shopbot software to create 3D pieces and cut files for exporting to our CNC machines is helpful
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques and production systems
  • 3D scuplting software knowledge a plus (ie: Mudbox, Zbrush, Maya)

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar setting or 4 year degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture Design, Architectural Technology or Engineering is preferred
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of work that shows designs that have been completed
