Position Open:

We are seeking a Product Engineer with experience in parametric design software used to create Furniture, Cabinetry, Toys, or Packaging with the ability to work organically as part of our Engineering Department. We are looking for a creative individual that can think outside the box, visualize things well, and can use their computer talents to create concepts and renderings for our clients in various forms as they design custom props for laser tag arenas, golf courses, e-sports, and escape rooms. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use Solidworks to create 3D renderings of props, assemblies, and products.
  • Create “build sheets” for individual props and pieces we create to help the production team fabricate from drawings
  • Prepare product detail packets of information and drawings for our internal production team
  • Assist the Design Department in the overall creative scope of projects
  • Create vector files and CNC cut files of the designed props
  • Occasionally, work with client architects, building inspectors, fire marshals, clients and more to review designs, make adjustments, and ensure the overall plans meet the needs of all parties

Additional considerations and software knowledge desired for this position:

  • Solidworks engineering and design experience required
  • Experience with a cam software to convert complex assemblies and part files into g code to run on our CNC machines
  • Experience and Training in DFMA(Design for Manufacturing) and NPI (New Product Implementation)
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques and production systems
  • 3D sculpting software knowledge a plus (ie: Art Cam, Carve Co, Mudbox, Zbrush, or Maya)

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar setting or 4-year degree in product development or engineering
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of work that shows designs that have been completed
