Position Open:

We are seeking an interior designer with a background in Retail and Commercial environments that has the ability to work organically as part of our Design Department. We are looking for a creative individual that can think outside the box, visualize things well, can utilize colors and textures skillfully and can use their computer talents to create concepts and renderings for our clients in various forms. The ability to project manage dozens of projects working their way through our design team is critical to this position. We do over 150 projects annually.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use AutoCAD to create 2D layouts for floor plans (laser tag arenas, miniature golf courses, amusement facilities, etc.)
  • Create inviting and fun environments for family entertainment centers, children’s museums, theme parks, etc
  • Layout electrical, low voltage, lighting and more on plans
  • Theme/Concept Boards – provide initial concepts to clients
  • Mood/Material Boards – provide a sampling of materials and colors to clients
  • Prepare architectural packets of information and drawings for clients and internal production team
  • Assist the Design Department in the overall creative scope of projects
  • Occasionally, work with client architects, building inspectors, fire marshals, clients and more to review plans, make adjustments, and ensure the overall plans meet the needs of all parties
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques and production systems
  • Source new materials based on the need of clients/concepts presented
  • Knowledge of Wrike software a plus
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator a plus.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar setting or 4-year degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture Design, Architectural Technology or Engineering is preferred
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of design work in Retail and Commercial environments
