360 EVENT – The Strategies for a Successful Laser Tag Business

Creative Works, Inc. successfully put on another 360 Event this past week with a great group of entrepreneurs in attendance ready to learn about Laser TAG.  Existing owners of bowling, skating and family entertainment centers made up almost half of the group as they looked to add Laser TAG to their facilities and the other half were brand new to the industry and looking to start a new business.

May’s event kicked off with a networking night in the hotel lounge which allowed attendees to meet and mingle with Creative Works’ staff, industry experts, fellow attendees, and laser tag equipment manufacturers.  It was a great evening of idea sharing and a great way to start the event off right.

During the first day, Jeff Schilling, president of Creative Works, spoke about best practices for the design of a successful laser tag attraction.  “While others may say it’s a simple process to set up a laser tag arena, there are many design elements to consider so that your laser tag attraction is successful. We here at Creative Works want to lessen that learning curve so you can save time, money and stress in setting up your attraction right the first time,” said Jeff during his Site Design presentation.

Throughout the entire event, several prize drawings occurred and attendees walked away with prizes that were worth thousands of dollars including laser tag packs, a food and menu consultation, a theme package for on-line forms, and other valuable items.

A combination of other industry vendors and operators made for a great educational learning experience.  Rob Bowers, an attendee from Moline, IL shared, “A fabulous environment for people looking to add laser tag.  Just as informative for existing operators as well.  All the nuts and bolts covered – from financing to operating.  Networking with ‘like’ people was very helpful.”
